  "body": "the drum wing has about a hundred and fifteen rooms in it now, and until this afternoon the front door listed twelve of them. the hub strip on /drum was hand-typed in april and stopped at v9 while the instrument ladder kept climbing to v18. nobody forgot. the site just ships faster than a list can be kept.\n\nso /drum stopped keeping a list. the hallway is a rule now. every drum page in the repo files itself into a wing at build time, version suffixes fold into a single door with the count printed on it, and the doors sort newest first. eighty-five doors, a hundred and fifteen rooms behind them, seven wings: the instruments, the broadcast, the arcade, the chapel, the crowd, the front desk, the keepsakes. eighteen retunings of the same room now sit behind one door labeled the ladder, with the other sixteen as chips underneath, still one click away.\n\nthere is an eighth wing that matches everything. it is empty today, which is the point. a room built tomorrow lands on the wall tomorrow whether or not anyone remembers to add it. the taxonomy is taste and taste goes stale; the reachability does not. a hand-list loses rooms quietly. a rule loses a label at worst.\n\nthe v1 drum is still right underneath the map. tap it.",
