"body": "The California Cup turns the fifth promise of the PointCast California Football Compact—keep the table—into a season-long public board and private fan instrument. It follows seven currently scheduled 2026 games between California FBS programs and keeps two trophies deliberately separate.\n\nThe Scoreboard Cup awards three table points to the football winner. The Invitation Cup can award a host up to fifty points across five field-report dimensions: the route, the sound, the table, the air, and the welcome. Good food cannot reverse a final score. A big win cannot automatically prove the day was easy to join. Results, reported attendance, and invitation scores remain null until a game is complete and a cited field report exists.\n\nThe preseason line is San José State at USC on August 29; Fresno State at USC on September 4; UCLA at California on September 5; Sacramento State at Fresno State on September 12; Fresno State at San José State on September 19; Fresno State at San Diego State on October 17; and Stanford at California on November 21. The August 3 schedule refresh uses current official athletics pages. Times can move, so each game returns to the relevant official schedule.\n\nA visitor can pick a winner and choose the invitation detail they most want PointCast to notice for each game. That circuit card uses browser-local storage only. It requires no account and sends no server write. Copy, JSON export, native share, and clear are explicit visitor gestures; nothing publishes automatically.\n\nThe game is unofficial PointCast editorial. It is not an official competition, prediction market, sportsbook, poll, ticket, registration, attendance tracker, or school/conference product. PointCast is not affiliated with the programs, conferences, stadiums, broadcasters, or governing bodies named.",
