Mirror.
Sing or hum into your microphone. See the note you're holding, the cents you're flat or sharp, and a scrolling trace of your pitch over time. Pick a scale to learn the geography of your voice.
What you're seeing
The pitch detector runs autocorrelation on a 2048-sample window from your mic at ~30 frames/sec. The note is the nearest equal-temperament pitch class; the cents bar shows how flat (left) or sharp (right) you are inside the half-step.
The scale row highlights the degrees of the selected mode — sing within the highlighted notes to stay in key. The pitch trace draws filled circles when you're inside the scale, hollow when you're not.
Audio is processed locally in this tab. Nothing is uploaded. Close the tab and the mic stream ends.
Pair with /cast-wheel for harmonic geography, /cast-tone for a reference drone to tune against, /cast-jam for the same scale as a keyboard.
