# Worked example: Shapes Around Us

**Fictional example. Not an available activity product. The kit includes an offer card, not the six-page activity pack described here. Price and production time are planning guesses.**

**Buyer:** an adult looking for a simple, screen-free activity for a family table. **Problem:** they need something easy to print with supplies they already have.

**Offer sentence:** A six-page black-and-white shape-finding and drawing pack, with clear instructions and no special supplies.

| Field | Fictional scope |
| --- | --- |
| SKU / version | example-shapes-around-us / 0.1.0-draft |
| Deliverables to make | Two six-page PDFs (A4 and US Letter): one instruction page, four original activities, one make-your-own page |
| Activity ideas | Find five circles; draw a room using triangles; invent a three-shape creature; make a pattern and swap it with someone |
| Materials | Printer, paper, pencil; scissors and adult supervision only if the final activities require them |
| Exclusions | Physical shipping, personalized names, educational or developmental outcomes, school-site licensing |
| Price guess | USD 8 per household download; taxes and payment costs unresolved; not approved |
| Use-rights draft | Print for the buyer's household; no resale or public redistribution of the proposed finished pack. Terms need review before sale. |
| Delivery draft | ZIP containing the two PDFs and a plain-text instruction file, only after the product exists and delivery is tested |

**Cost exercise:** assume 6 hours to create and test at an internal USD 25/hour target: USD 150 of time. At a hypothetical USD 8 price, 19 sales would bring in USD 152 **before** fees, taxes, support, and other costs. This arithmetic says nothing about whether anyone will buy it. Zero sales is possible.

**Acceptance before listing:** all six pages exist; both paper sizes print without clipped content; instructions work without a color printer; every drawing is original; accessibility and supervision needs are clear; a sample page accurately represents the pack.

**Useful first experiment:** make one actual page and ask a few adults to try printing it. Record what confused them. Keep interest, free downloads, and paid orders as separate counts.

The companion `cards/activity-pack.svg` is an original editable offer card only. Its presence is not evidence that the described pack has been produced.
