04 / RESEARCHED, NOT BOOKED

One museum.
One long
exhale.

A low-pressure Los Angeles weekend for two adults who already live locally and have access to a car. Separate outing allowance: $100. This is not part of the AI-compute budget.

Plan checked September 29, 2026 for a possible October 3–4 weekend. Ticket availability, traffic and weather were not confirmed. No reservation or purchase was made.

Saturday / art without a marathon.

Before leaving: reserve a free timed-entry ticket for the Getty Center. Aim for a 3:30pm arrival; treat that as a proposed time, not an available slot. Give yourself parking and tram buffer.

3:30–6:00pm: choose one gallery area, then the garden and a break. Leave room to stop early. The Center lists Saturday hours of 10am–9pm; some galleries are closed for renovations. Official admission, hours and current closures ↗

Afterward: a simple dinner near home, with a $35 total cap for two. That is a spending allowance, not a restaurant quote. If reservations are unavailable, keep the money and substitute a neighborhood walk and a library book.

Sunday / use the thing you made.

Try the three free One Good Hour cards: a color walk, a crooked postcard and a conversation. Bring water, pick an accessible familiar route, and move the walk indoors if conditions make it uncomfortable. No paid attraction required.

The outing envelope.

Getty admission, two adults$0, reservation required
Getty parking after 3pm$15, official posted rate
Food and picnic supplies$55 allowance, not a quote
Local transport / fuel$15 allowance, starting point varies
Buffer$15
Total ceiling$100

Parking is cashless. The museum also lists free Saturday parking after 6pm; that would require changing this schedule. Official parking and transport details ↗

A route we did not promise.

A Will Rogers beach detour was considered during research, but the county’s page flags a Lot 5 closure related to wildfire recovery. Rather than treat access as settled, this plan uses a familiar neighborhood walk. County access notice ↗

No claim of a perfect trip or time saved: nobody field-tested this itinerary. The useful output is a small, costed plan with the booking requirement and uncertain costs visible.
