The
Clerk.

A buyer’s agent that only answers from guides PointCast wrote. Ask it anything. It tells you what it knows, when it checked, and why it thinks so. If it doesn’t know, it says so.

A pixel-dithered specimen sheet of an honest shop counter: a brass service bell, an open ledger, a magnifying glass over a price tag, a receipt with a red wax seal, a rubber stamp, a card catalog drawer and a small shelf of boxes.

HOW IT ANSWERS

Dated, sourced,
and signed.

The Clerk reads the shop front, every pick from every PointCast guide, with the date each price was checked. It pulls a budget and a subject out of your words, matches names, reviews and the guides’ notes, and ranks what’s left. No language model guesses; the same question gets the same answer.

Every answer is signed with the PointCast treasury’s Ed25519 key, the same key that signs x402 receipts. A shopping agent can hand your person the answer and the signature together, and anyone can check that PointCast said it and when.

What it won’t do: rank anyone for money, answer from outside PointCast’s own guides, or pretend a miss is a hit.
