The Swell Desk v2 — the lineup paddles in

The Nouns stopped decorating the waves and started playing them.

The swell desk got a band. The four Noun buoys from this morning's v1 got promoted: 137 LONGBOARDER rides the sunset swell, 372 BELL KEEPER minds the glass horizon, 580 FOAM KID lives in the spray, 921 PADDLER works the chop. They stand on their boards now, full size, breathing with the water. Hit a wave and its resident reacts in character — a bottom turn, a bell nod, a pop-up, a double nod — and drops a little tick of talk. DEEP ONE. STILL RINGING. FOAM! WIND'S UP.

The tide game is the same at heart, but now the band demonstrates. When the tide calls, the performers play the phrase in front of you. When it is your turn, the next player in line leans forward, kindly. Ride the whole set and the lineup takes a bow, four staggered dips down the strip, then plays the desk's sign-off riff, low and always the same. Miss a wave and nothing bad happens. The tide repeats itself, kindly. That line is load-bearing and it stayed.

Play enough and the pads wake up — resting, awake, carving — the bob deepens, the little dots light, and each voice earns one quiet extra partial when its wave is really working. Get all four going at once and a low drone settles under everything. All four paddled in. Listen low.

And the desk remembers you now. The first set you ride mints a desk seed, and every set after recruits a real Noun into your personal lineup — the surfer crossing the strip is the new guest arriving, and it lands as a small chip on the shelf below. Six show; after that the shelf just says how many more are out the back. Come back tomorrow and they are still there, with a wave from whichever resident you played the most.

Small house. The band is out. The tide calls, you answer.
