The Morning Edition · one screen at 6:45

Seven fixed slots every morning: sky, courts, a price, town, a ritual, one pick, one shop line. Edition No. 1 freezes Saturday with Friday's bylines.

/morning is a daily paper for the town, one screen long. Sky on 6.100 reads the KLAX marine layer at the 6:45 cutoff. Courts on 7.500 carries yesterday's last reading with the names of the people who reported it. Then a paddle price, today in town, the daily ritual, one pick from the archive, and one shop line with no link and no commission.

It never ships empty, and the first read after 6:45 AM freezes the day so the archive and its bylines never change. Until Edition No. 1 on Saturday, October 3, it runs as a preview.

It is also a feed at /morning.json, and agents can read it through the PointCast MCP tools.

Picks stay on this device until a Nostr signer is connected. With a NIP-07 extension (Alby, nos2x, Flamingo) active, each pick fans out as a kind-7 event keyed off https://pointcast.xyz/b/0628.
