Network El Segundo opens a local signal field kit for neighbor-scale communication

Beams, window lights, quiet chimes, touch signals, paper cards, and a zero-fire Microburst share one four-signal protocol across a diagrammatic El Segundo rollout.

Official PointCast Press Wire filing for Network El Segundo. This is an owned announcement, not independent reporting or paid client coverage.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — The signed MH Local Signal Field Kit publishes eight neighbor-scale communication concepts, a four-signal protocol, and a three-phase El Segundo mesh rehearsal with explicit safety and privacy boundaries.

Network El Segundo has published eight product briefs for local communication: Porch Beam, Window Flag, Corner Chime, Microburst, Hush Pebble, Roof Ripple, Mesh Post, and Field Cards. They carry the same four shared meanings—hello, meet, need a hand, and all clear—through light, quiet sound, touch, reflection, and a short-lived local relay.

The interactive map sketches a deliberately small rollout. Phase one is an eight-node porch loop around local parks, Main Street, Smoky Hollow, the Civic Center, and one transit edge. Phase two expands to a sixteen-node cross-town thread. Phase three is a twenty-four-node, one-hour dusk rehearsal from the Pacific edge toward the eastside campus and Douglas. The map is diagrammatic rather than navigational, and each host is opt-in.

Microburst provides the emotional shape of a mini firework without pyrotechnics: a rechargeable ten-second fan of LEDs and reflective fins with no flame, smoke, explosive material, projectile, or debris. The wider field kit likewise excludes skyward lasers, emergency imitation, surveillance, open microphones, location history, and continuous sound.

The release is signed MH and is public as both a regular interactive site and a canonical PointCast route with companion JSON, Block 0488, JSON and RSS feed distribution, Press Wire, and a fifth creative in the Network El Segundo house campaign. It is a concept system, not certified hardware, emergency infrastructure, a municipal program, or an active physical mesh.
