Bell Post — leave a phrase for whoever comes next

Play a few bells, hang them on the rack, and the wall braids the last five visitors into a round.

Bell Post is the time-shifted answer to /bell-choir. The choir asks two people to be in the room at the same second; the post office only asks that somebody came before you. Play up to eight bells on the same twelve-bell pentatonic wall, and hang the phrase on the rack. It stays a week. Whoever walks in after you can play it back — and THE ROUND braids the newest five phrases together, staggered like a bell round. Because every bell is C-major pentatonic, five strangers who never met cannot clash.

Each hung phrase becomes a card: one of the last twelve pieces of the 2026-07-25 Midjourney session, a tiny dot-score of the melody, the age of the phrase, and a Noun. The Noun is assigned by the server from a hash the moment you hang something — no account, no name, and nobody can wear anyone else's face.

The wall is a KV ledger, not a socket: phrases live behind /api/bell-post with strict validation (one to eight notes, six seconds, non-decreasing offsets) and a one-phrase-per-30-seconds rate. If the rack is unreachable the bells still play — the instrument never depends on the wire.

This is Stop 02 from the drum-house concept board: multiplayer converted from be-here-now into leave-something-for-the-next-person, which is the version of together a town this size can sustain at every hour of the day.
