WEDNESDAY 9:34 — THE GOOD WORK

Art-forward momentum for the useful middle.

THE GOOD WORK is Issue 002 of WEDNESDAY 9:34, a human-edited PointCast playlist publication for the moment when the day is real, the work is enjoyable, and a little lift would make the whole board move. It takes a different route from Issue 001: not porch-to-sky, but a beautifully lit desk.

Eighteen tracks move through four editorial movements: Put Down the Pencil, Make the Small Things Move, Stay Inside the Groove, and Clear the Desk, Keep the Life. The Durutti Column and Brian Eno create a blank margin; Toro y Moi and Caribou introduce motion; Little Dragon, The Avalanches, David Bowie, Phoenix, and Jungle turn tasks into rhythm; Khruangbin, Vampire Weekend, Kelly Lee Owens, Cate Le Bon, Hot Chip, and Todd Terje hold the useful middle; Talking Heads, Stereolab, and Air return the work to the life around it.

The original cover is fluorescent chartreuse with an oversized WEDNESDAY, a small blue 9:34, a cream work card, and seven black lines lifting into curves. It is art-forward and subtly attention-seeking without borrowing artist or album artwork.

WEDNESDAY 9:34 now has a public four-week editorial calendar. The cadence is a human editorial promise, not an automation claim. Each issue becomes live only after its public playlist, cover, exact sequence, permanent page, JSON twin, Block, and playback have been checked. Participation remains light: device-local follow, direct ping, and optional existing auth routes, with no new email collection.
