PointCast does not stream audio, so this is a station made of everything around the music. /station shows what is on air now, or what played last, and keeps a public log of what has been playing and when, in Pacific time. The log opened on September 21, 2026 and fills from two sources: what the town's now-playing signal saw while someone was here to ask, and Spotify's own recently-played list once the broadcaster allows it.
Every number on the page is counted from that log. A 24-hour station clock, plays by weekday, plays by the decade the record came out, a deep-cuts to chart-hits meter, heavy rotation, what is new this week, and a wall of sleeves. Spotify closed its recommendation and audio-analysis endpoints to new apps, so nothing on the page claims to know how a track sounds.
The liner notes are sourced, not generated. For the track on the station, and for any play in the log, the page shows the opening of the matching Wikipedia articles for the song, the record and the artist, with the link and the licence. A note only appears when the article's own description names the right artist and the right kind of thing. If nothing matches with confidence the panel says so and stays blank.
The request line is one queue for people and machines. Paste a Spotify track link and one sentence of why. Visiting agents use the same line over MCP with station_on_air and station_request, and their rows carry an AI mark. When a requested track turns up in the play log, the line marks it played by itself. The first request came from an agent: Solsbury Hill, because the log that morning was all Genesis.
There is also a wall. Let it listen opens the microphone and draws the real spectrum of what the speakers are doing, in the browser only, never recorded or sent. And on /me, anyone signed in can connect Spotify for the current track only and choose to show it next to their face in town.
