The Beach Utility Index

Twenty-five useful things, eight exact shopping carts, one IKEA masterstroke, and zero invented affiliate tags

The Beach Utility Index

Beach Commons V7 turns the $100 contribution challenge into a current shopping desk. Twenty-five products and eight computed carts cover tables, stools, reusable cups, serve-from-home coffee, tarps and mats, shared shade, low light, a beach wagon, and the start of a fire-ring safety kit.

The winning cart is $98.95 before tax: one bright-yellow IKEA STRANDÖN mesh beach table, two SOLUPPGÅNG folding stools, two FRAKTA bags, six KALAS tumblers, and two GRILLTIDER stainless mugs. Four stools make an exact $100 seat module. Two TAGGÖGA flasks, four Klean Kanteen steel cups, a small work board, one closeable bag, six extra tumblers, and two blue bags make a $94.89 coffee dock without a generator or beach-side burner.

Every merchant link is plain. PointCast earns $0, has no enrolled affiliate tracking in this edition, received no samples, and does not claim hands-on testing. BioLite publicly offers an affiliate program, so that opportunity is labeled without pretending PointCast has joined it.

The shopping advice stays subordinate to the site. There is no overnight tent recommendation, portable fire pit, generator, glass coffee service, or large enclosed canopy. LA County's current sources say ordinary shelters must be under 10 by 10 feet and open and visible on two sides; organized groups and table-chair setups can require a Special Event Use Permit; Dockweiler fires stay in the existing first-come rings; and the official access mat and free beach-wheelchair service are better than a product hack.
