Tern Arrival

California least terns arrive from the south to nest on open sand, including a fenced colony on an LA beach.

Back · how it is earned

How it is earned

Earned by logging the first least tern you hear, the high, scratchy call, from outside the colony fence. They are endangered; the fence is the rule and the note follows it.
