Cost-of-living crop swaps
Since fuel prices spiked in March 2026, the Comboyne Farm Store has hosted crop swaps where residents trade surplus homegrown produce; a crop swap in Forster has drawn about 300 people.
How a note would work
Punnets are earned by bringing surplus homegrown fruit, vegetables or herbs to a swap and spent on other growers' produce. They are never bought or cashed out.
Design concept inspired by this tradition, not issued by or for the people who keep it. Not legal tender, not for sale, no cash value, no redemption and no investment rights.
