How it would work

Neighbors keep a shared worktable going by taking turns: holding the key for a morning or mentoring a student earns Desk Days, and a Desk Day saves you a seat on a busy afternoon. No one is on payroll.

Design concept for a community-credit system. Not legal tender, not for sale, no cash value, no redemption and no investment rights. In this design, credit is earned by contributing and spent on the shared thing.
