OPENTOWORK

Say what you can do, what kind of opening would feel useful, and where the proof lives.

A consent-first WORK/LIFE signal board inspired by the original Bosslist concept: vertical lists for people and opportunities, rebuilt without silent indexing, human ranking, or contact harvesting.

RECOVERED IDEA / PRIVACY REWRITE

Bosslist, without ranking the humans.

In the original Bosslist notes, the big idea was an index of people: “Product Hunt for people,” built as specific vertical lists—illustrators, specialists, jobs, recruiters—with visual profiles assembling work scattered across the web.

The useful part was the public list plus the opportunity layer. This version keeps that clarity and drops the invasive machinery. Nobody is imported, crawled, scored, voted up, or quietly added. A person writes their own signal and decides whether it travels.

KEEP

  • public vertical list
  • proof before biography
  • specific opportunity signals
  • visual cards made for scanning

RETIRE

  • silent indexing
  • contact importing
  • automatic profile crawling
  • up/down voting on people
  • opaque human ranking

DEVICE-LOCAL CARD MAKER / YOU CONTROL THE EXIT

Make your signal specific.

Draft cards stay in this browser until their author copies, removes, or explicitly pitches one. PointCast does not receive a draft merely because it was made.

    PUBLIC BOARD / FOUNDING ROUND

    Nobody listed without a yes.

The public board intentionally begins empty. A copied local card is still not a public card. If you want PointCast to consider one for the founding round, open the pitch door and choose what to send. Publication remains a separate, human-reviewed decision.
