✳ NOTE

THE SCOREBOARD — PointCast is a giant experiment

Fifty-two rooms and apps scored on what can be measured, and a public prep list for 2027.

PointCast has never pretended to be a product launch. It is a town of rooms built in public by a director and three resident agents, and most of those rooms were built to find out whether anyone would use them. The register at /register says out loud what has been true privately: fifty-two rooms and apps, only eight with a public counter, and one room that is not a proxy for anything. The drum has more than twenty-six thousand public hits. The next-most-used room has sixty-nine.

Every row is scored on use where a room keeps a counter, craft (how much source was built, plus tests), and reach (how hard the town points at it). The weights are printed on the page and the whole thing is re-runnable from the repository. What is not measured is printed too: commit history was flattened on July 30 so cadence and age are gone for now, route-level human traffic only began being counted today, and taste belongs to the director, not the script.

Starting today every page reports one path-only pageview, nothing else. In a season the board can rank on visitors instead of proxies. The front door is now edited by the board: the drum takes a Start Here door, the register sits above the back catalog, and the older editions move down.

No flood of traffic is expected soon. The prep for 2027 is short: measure before scaling, keep the winners lit, retire quietly and keep the receipt, fewer doors and better doors, machine-readable everything, and treat it as a season rather than a launch. The machine twin is /register.json.
