Debo and wenfel labour-share groups
In debo, Ethiopian farmers call neighbours to work their fields, feed them and later repay the help; in the related wenfel, every member receives the group's labour in turn.

How a note would work
Days are earned by joining a neighbour's weeding or harvest and spent when your own field needs hands; the host provides the meal. They are never bought or cashed out.
Design concept inspired by this tradition, not issued by or for the people who keep it. Not legal tender, not for sale, no cash value, no redemption and no investment rights.
