Nnoboa labour-exchange groups
Nnoboa is an Akan custom in which neighbours take turns working each member's fields; an IFPRI study dates it to the pre-colonial era, before cocoa cooperatives arrived in the late 1920s.

How a note would work
Turns are earned by working a day on another member's farm and spent when the group comes to yours, especially at weeding time. They are never bought or cashed out.
Design concept inspired by this tradition, not issued by or for the people who keep it. Not legal tender, not for sale, no cash value, no redemption and no investment rights.
