The tradition · since the 1960s
Permuta (home swap)
With home sales effectively banned after Cuba's 1960 Urban Reform, families moved by swapping homes in a permuta; a 2011 decree-law legalised sales, but the permuta remains a legal way to move.

How a note would work
Keys are earned by opening your home for a swap or a stay and spent on a stay in another member's home. They are never bought or cashed out.
Design concept inspired by this tradition, not issued by or for the people who keep it. Not legal tender, not for sale, no cash value, no redemption and no investment rights.
