Mutirão (collective work)
Mutirão, from a Tupi word for collective work, is a Brazilian tradition of unpaid group efforts to harvest, clear land or build houses; it also underpins self-help housing mutirões in cities.

How a note would work
Tiles are earned by joining a neighbour's harvest or a group home build and spent when your household needs a crew; the host offers food. They are never bought or cashed out.
