Swishing (clothes-swapping parties)

In 2000 the London sustainability agency Futerra gave the name swishing to clothes-swap parties, where guests bring good-quality clothes and take home others'; the format spread across the UK.

How a note would work

Garments are earned by bringing good-quality clothes or accessories to a swap party and spent on other guests' pieces; leftovers go to charity. They are never bought or cashed out.

Design concept inspired by this tradition, not issued by or for the people who keep it. Not legal tender, not for sale, no cash value, no redemption and no investment rights.
