The tradition · since 2010
TEM of the Magnesia Exchange and Solidarity Network
The TEM network began in Volos in 2010 as Greece's debt crisis cut incomes; members trade on an online ledger in units valued at one euro, and within a year it had hundreds of members.

How a note would work
Residents earn Olives by offering goods or services on a shared online ledger and spend them on other members' offers, with no interest on balances. Olives are never bought or cashed out.
Design concept inspired by this tradition, not issued by or for the people who keep it. Not legal tender, not for sale, no cash value, no redemption and no investment rights.
