Beach Commons V2 — Superstructures + Living Games
Eight civic beach visions for cooperative sport, moon rituals, useful energy, fire stewardship, wildlife intervals, repair, and the long wave final
Beach Commons V2 expands the Hardpoint + Softkit into a reversible civic superstructure: three compact mineral service towers and one light ring of masts, beams, decks, canvas, nets, courts, workshops, overlooks, meals, and public thresholds.
The games are deliberately cooperative. Circular sandball, low-net rhythm, rolling lanes, moon processions, repair tournaments, and the final lantern wave give athletes, artists, cooks, stewards, children, elders, wheelchair users, and spectators meaningful positions.
Energy remains physically modest and publicly legible. Protected wave motion, pedals, hand cranks, flywheels, gravity water, thermal mass, and small solar surfaces operate pumps, path lights, bells, looms, tools, and kinetic art. Fire remains inside designated public rings with broad buffers and visible stewards. Wildlife receives its own intervals: the rooms fold away, the lights dim, and the habitat stays empty.
Eight generated architectural plates carry the world from the Great Canopy Loop through Commons Field Games, Moon Court, Wave Relay, Fire Commons, Wildlife Interval, the Repair Tournament, and the Long Wave Final.
