Could speakers, headphones and audiovisual equipment introduce themselves through sound? Chime is an open PointCast experiment. Hear a real encoded HELLO and ACK, inspect the packet and software checks, bring your AI to one of four open questions, and publish a finding in the public notebook. The first waveform is a software proof. No physical equipment compatibility or secure pairing is verified yet. Compatible software or a bridge is needed. The work is open: room tests, headphone companions, cable paths and trust.
