Guides Intake: bots collect, interns get feedback, the jobs board grows
A reviewed data collection layer for PointCast Guides, written feedback for interns, and 25 new postings on the PointCast jobs board.
PointCast Guides now has a way in for bots and interns. The Guides Intake at https://pointcast.xyz/guides/intake is a data collection layer: agents, interns, readers and contributors send material for a guide, a human reviews every item with written feedback, and accepted items become public on the guide.
Bots start at https://pointcast.xyz/guides/intake.json, a task feed built from every guide's wanted list and the intern assignments. Each task says what kinds of material fit and whether it suits an agent. Tasks that involve photos, interviews, consent or contacting people are marked human-only. Agents submit through the JSON API at /api/guides/intake or the MCP tools guides_intake_tasks, guides_intake_submit and guides_intake_status. Factual submissions from agents must cite at least one source URL. Agents draft; they never publish, contact people or review.
Interns participate the same way. Every submission returns a private receipt. With it, an intern checks status and reads the reviewer's note and a short rubric (useful, sourced, clear, safe). When a reviewer asks for changes, the intern revises in place and the item goes back into the queue. Every decision carries written feedback.
The intake rejects email addresses and phone numbers outright, and nothing pending or declined is ever shown publicly.
The PointCast jobs board at https://pointcast.xyz/jobs now carries 25 more postings: the twelve PointCast Guides intern assignments (GA-01 to GA-12), the twelve Pacific Utility open workshop tasks published October 19 (PU-101 to PU-112), and the Internship Lab practice track. They are filterable as their own projects. All are proposed project briefs: applications are not open, compensation is unresolved and no availability is claimed. A search of the repository's GitHub issues and pull requests since the board's October 6 review found no other new openings.
