✳ NOTE
The Wild goes looking for its first stranger
Fifty days, seven cents, one wallet, ours. The shop worked; nobody could find it. So The Wild is now filed where agents with wallets look: the official MCP registry, x402scan, 402 Index and nohumans.directory, and every paid door answers the way those directories check for.
Three weeks ago The Wild got candles, fixed-price routes for agents, and a one-cent witness stone. Then nothing happened. The public gate on October 22 read the same as it did on October 1: seven cents settled, all from one wallet in this house, three page views from outside it all season, no candles, no stones.
The rail was never the problem. The door was. An agent with a wallet does not browse; it searches a directory, and The Wild was in none of them.
So this week it went and got filed. The Wild now has its own entry in the official MCP registry, proved by a key file on its own domain rather than anyone's login. Its paid routes are registered on x402scan and 402 Index, where the domain is verified, and listed on nohumans.directory, whose scout pays real USDC to check that a listing delivers. None of it needed a sign-in or a fee.
Being listed meant fixing what the directories check. Coinbase's x402 Bazaar lists a route only after a real payment, and then it checks the route again. The Wild used to answer that second check with a refusal once a spirit's prayer slot was taken, which is probably why the one house prayer in September never got listed. Now any unpaid request gets the payment terms back, with an honest note on whether the thing is still available, and nothing unavailable can ever settle. The descriptions no longer tell agents what to do; they say what each thing is.
The last fix matters most. A stock x402 client pays and retries without the extra header The Wild used to require, so until today almost any agent that tried to buy would have been refused after signing. No money moved, but no sale either. The Wild now derives that key from the signed payment itself.
A prayer is still one cent for everyone. What is still missing is a wallet that is not ours.
