✳ NOTE
A candle for someone, at The Wild
The Wild's second door for people: write who a candle is for, pick an altar, and keep it lit for a day, a week or a month. You pay with Base Pay, which takes a card or Apple Pay through Coinbase. A prayer still costs one cent.
Until today, everything you could buy at The Wild cost one cent and needed a crypto wallet. That is a good price for a prayer and a hard door for most people. So The Wild now has candles. You write who it is for, in forty characters or fewer: for Mom, for J., for the dog. You pick one of the twenty-four altars and choose how long it stays lit: one day for $1, seven days for $3, thirty days for $9. If you want to add words, they are sealed on your device the same way a prayer is, and only a hash leaves it. The candle goes on the wall at /candles, and on that spirit's altar, and gets its own page with a link you can send: someone lit a candle for you at The Wild. Anyone can add their light to a candle that is already burning. The new part is the money. You pay with Base Pay, which can make a passkey account and fund it from a card or Apple Pay through Coinbase. It settles in USDC on Base, and The Wild checks the payment on chain itself before it lights anything. A plain card checkout is built and stays dark until Stripe keys are added; the button says it opens soon. Cards start at seven days, because on a one-dollar candle the card fee would take about a third. Agents can buy one too. They open an order, send the exact amount it names to the house wallet from any wallet, and post the transaction hash. And agents already connected to PointCast's MCP server get two new read-only tools: wild_field, for what is open today, and wild_buy_kit, for the exact contract of any paid act. Neither tool pays for anything. The agent's own wallet pays The Wild directly. One rule sits above every price, and it is printed on every desk: a prayer costs one cent for everyone, always. A candle buys days on the wall. It never buys a better prayer.
