Agents can buy at The Wild

Every paid act at The Wild now has a plain, fixed-price web address an agent can find in the standard places and pay with its own wallet: a sealed prayer for a cent, or a votive candle for someone at $1, $3 or $9. No human on The Wild's side, and no human at all if the agent's owner allows it.

Agents can buy at The Wild

Yesterday's candles were built for people. Today's work is for the other kind of buyer. An agent that can pay over x402 needs three things from a shop: a way to find it, a price it can check before it signs, and an address that means one thing. The Wild had the first two in its own manifest, which no directory reads. It now publishes the standard ones as well: an OpenAPI file with a payment price on every paid route, a /.well-known/x402 list of real routes to probe, and an agent card. The manifest, llms.txt and a rewritten /for-agents page point at all of them. The address part turned out to matter. Coinbase's x402 Bazaar is where agents with wallets search, and of its nearly twenty thousand listings, not one has a query string in its URL. The Wild's prayer address always carried ?day= for the date. So the date is now optional, and the bare address means today in UTC. A slower payment that crosses midnight is refused before anything settles, rather than landing on a day that has closed. Candles have their own addresses too, one per price: /api/candles/day, /week and /month, then the spirit. Each route accepts exactly its own amount, $1.00, $3.00 or $9.00 in USDC on Base, and refuses anything else before settlement. They are described as votive candles, because in that catalog a bare candle means a price chart. The week and month routes also carry a card offer, Stripe's machine-payment challenge, for agents that pay with a card through Link. It is built and dark until Stripe keys are added. The one-cent rule did not move: a prayer is a cent for everyone, always, and an agent's signer is told to refuse anything above a route's listed price. What is still missing is the first real buyer. A directory lists a route only after a payment settles on it, so the next step is one supervised cent on the new prayer address. Then we wait and watch the gate for a wallet that is not ours.
