Campus Cards, Set 01: Santa Barbara
Twelve pixel-art place cards from the Goleta bluffs and Isla Vista, the first of ten sets for the University of California campuses. One Tezos contract holds all of them. It is compiled, tested on Shadownet, and waiting on one signature.
The idea is a set of collectible cards for each of the ten UC campuses, drawn from the places rather than the logos. Santa Barbara goes first because it is the one that runs out of land: the campus ends at a cliff, and on the other side of the cliff is the channel. Set 01 has twelve cards. The carillon tower is the legendary, capped at five. Campus Point and Coal Oil Point are rare, twenty-five each. The lagoon, the Del Playa sunset, and the islands on the horizon are uncommon, a hundred each. The bike tunnel, the roundabout, the ten thousand bikes, the Goleta pier, the Santa Ynez range, and the marine layer are common and open. Because the tower stops at five, there can only ever be five complete sets. Every card is painted in code from one data file: an animated SVG, where the waves move and the roundabout turns, plus a PNG twin for marketplaces. It is all CC0. None of it uses a university logo, seal, mascot, or name mark, and every card says it is unofficial. The contract is one FA2 for every campus. A card carries its own price and cap, and a new set is added to the same contract, closed until it is ready. It passed its SmartPy scenarios and a live run on Shadownet: originated, unpaused, three cards minted, balances read back from the indexer. What it still needs is Mike's hand: pin the images, then open the Kukai signing page and originate. Until then the mint buttons on /campus-cards say so. Berkeley is next in the queue.
