Radius 25 argued that proximity becomes strength only when two capabilities finish something useful together. THE SKILL LINE is the companion invitation: a way to say what you can bring, name one small brief, ask for the counterpart you do not have, and choose exactly which communication action you welcome. The board begins with eight voluntary skill lanes: make and build, repair and maintain, teach and explain, test and measure, host and welcome, document and translate, move and source, coordinate and steward. These are not assigned communal roles or permanent identities. A person chooses the useful action they want to offer now, can combine or change lanes, and can stop. Six editorial seed briefs make the invitation concrete: a salt-air repair bench, a reversible shade room, a ten-minute explanation of a hard regional system, a tested arrival handoff, a small field-sound line, and a weather-driven elements score. Each card names the question, the skill lanes it may need, the finish line, and the bounded work window. They are not scheduled events, funded jobs, permitted activities, or evidence that a team exists. The browser-local declaration instrument makes a portable Skill Signal. A visitor may use an alias, declare one concrete capability and small proof, choose a brief, ask for one counterpart, state availability, and optionally add a contact line. The page offers three user-controlled actions: copy the card, open the device share sheet, or open an email draft to hello@pointcast.xyz requesting at most one consent-based introduction. Nothing is submitted, saved, counted, matched, posted, or published automatically. The line has rules. Declare a capability rather than a personality category. Ask for one counterpart around one finishable brief. Keep private details out of public shares. One relay is not a mailing list or public directory. Skilled labor should be paid when the seed becomes real work. Anyone can decline, leave, or ask for a relay request to be deleted. No place is available until its actual steward says so.
