JOOLA's re-engineered Gen 3, sold on the rival UPA-A stamp because USAP had not re-approved the design. Pickleball Effect said it liked the 3S more than the originals because the toned-down pop made them usable by more players. It is the moment the pro tours' certification and USAP's diverged in practice on the sport's most visible paddle.

Certification note. Launched with UPA-A certification rather than USAP approval. Later '3S Dual' versions ($199.95 per The Kitchen, Oct 2025) carry both UPA-A and USAP PBCoR .43 certification.

HOW IT IS BUILT
Propulsion Core (foam layers plus an outer foam channel) with a thermoformed but 'non-compressed' core, unlike Gen 3's compressed core, under a raw carbon fiber face.
