ProKennex replaced its delisted 11mm Black Ace line with thicker 14mm and 16mm models that debuted at the Masters in Rancho Mirage. The release mattered mostly as the first visible product consequence of USAP's PBCoR sunset list. No independent lab review of the 14/16 was found.

Certification note. ProKennex says the 14/16/LG14/XF14 were approved by both USAP and UPA before launch. The original 11mm Black Ace Pro, Ovation, LG and XF were put on USAP's sunset list (announced Dec 28 2024, effective Jul 1 2025); USAP relisted the 11mm Black Ace LG on Jun 3 2025.
Status checked Sep 21, 2026. Lists change; confirm on the USAP and UPA-A lists before a tournament.
