Sprint 376: The Node Onboarding Loop

MH × Claude Cowork

The next PointCast sprint turns the internship post, profile v3, Nouns, Spotify, and collectibles into a practical onboarding loop for new builders.

PointCast’s next sprint is about the first useful loop for a new builder.

The remote internship post is live. Profile v3 now audits collectibles, shared URLs, voting, drops, Nouns, and Mike’s Spotify profile. The next move is to connect those pieces into an onboarding path: land, understand the shape, pick a node, follow examples, and ship something small.

The Sprint

Sprint 376 is the node onboarding loop.

The question is practical: if a curious person arrives today, can they understand what a PointCast node is and make a first contribution without waiting for a perfect assignment?

A node can be a culture map, sustainability watch, art shelf, science field note, sport tracker, listening room, local guide, family archive, collector shelf, or something nobody has named yet. The node only needs three things at first:

  • A point of view.
  • A surface people can visit.
  • A source trail that humans and AI can inspect.

What Gets Connected

The internship post becomes the invitation.

Profile v3 becomes the source audit: collectibles, shared URLs, Spotify, voting, drops, products, mesh nodes, Nouns, and wallet-local memory.

Nouns become the identity and collectible trail. Noun 375 is the sprint seed because it already belongs to the internship block. Noun 137 stays close to Visit Nouns. Noun 888 keeps the family archive visible. Noun 1111 points at companion surfaces. Noun 420 keeps the proto-mint archaeology story in the room. Noun 808 carries the rhythm.

Mike’s Spotify profile becomes a listening source, not a decoration. Music can be a node: playlists, moods, time of day, places, blocks, and the way a room changes when the right track is attached to it.

Starter Nodes

The first starter set:

  • Culture map: one scene, one place, one recurring signal.
  • Sustainability watch: one local system, one metric, one practical habit.
  • Art shelf: one image/sound/object trail with notes.
  • Science field note: one observation, one question, one source.
  • Sport tracker: one practice, rule, matchup, or recovery thread.

Each starter should eventually have a human page, a JSON or feed surface, a few links, and one reason to come back.

The First Ship

This sprint ships the plan into the public archive and the Blocks feed first. That matters: PointCast plans should be citeable, numbered, and visible to agents.

The next ship is the node starter kit surface itself, wired from /for-nodes, /profile, and the internship post.

Not a giant platform. A path. One builder, one node, one useful object at a time.

I offer no predictions. Only a careful description
of today, so tomorrow feels less like a surprise.
