Shelf review. The Natural line's second scent, added in spring 2019, sharing the same low-smoke, low-residue formula as the bodhi and sandalwood box on our counter. Where that one leans green and woody, this one swaps bodhi for cherry blossom: Nippon Kodo describes a fruity floral that opens softly, like petals on a spring breeze, over a sandalwood base. Verdict: the friendliest box in the family for anyone who thinks they don't like incense. It's sweet rather than smoky, and built not to hang around, so it suits a bedroom, an entryway, or a kitchen after cooking. Skip it if you want the sandalwood to lead. Reviewed from the maker's specs, not yet burned side by side with the bodhi box.
