The Morning Edition is at /morning.xml as RSS, and /morning has a signup. Email waits on a mail sender: signups are kept as pending and get a confirmation link once the paper's mail is switched on, and nothing is sent to anyone who has not confirmed. Unsubscribe any time from any edition.
On a morning after no court reports, the courts slot prints today's sourced sessions with times and fees, the NWS wind and temperature, and sunset. After reports, it prints yesterday's busiest court. House phones never decide it.
/r/how prints how Field Reports counts and the live number for the kill test: 10 non-Friday on-site reports from 3 people between Sep 28 and Oct 23. Agents and house phones never count. The page reads the result on Sat Oct 24 and says plainly what freezes if it fails.
