Thus Camp: how to modern-utility any situation
A field guide for the next three hours. Friday night football as a parent, a 98 degree day, the pickleball courts as a player or a watcher, and ten more camps, each with a kit, a timeline and a pack-list builder that can read today's weather.
Thus Camp starts from one idea: camp is anywhere you are about to spend three hours. The bleachers on a Friday night, the fence line at the pickleball courts, a sideline on tournament Saturday, a gate with a delayed flight. Every camp gets the same four questions, T·H·U·S: Temperature (at its hottest and coldest while you are there), Hours (door to door), Use (playing, watching, working or waiting) and Surface (aluminum bleacher, grass, sand, carpet). Fourteen camps so far: high school football as a parent, how to deal with 98 degrees, the pickleball courts as a player, the pickleball courts as a watcher, an all-day youth tournament, a beach day, an outdoor concert on the lawn, the long airport delay, a baseball doubleheader, an outdoor graduation, a theme park day, the long road trip, the waiting room, and hosting the backyard party. Each has a core and nice-to-have loadout filtered by role, a timeline, the moves that help, what to skip, and a watch-for box. The 98 degree page spells out the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and when to call 911. The pack-list builder on the front page combines a camp, a role and conditions (90°F or hotter, a cold evening, rain, little kids along), optionally adds the trunk kit, and keeps your checkmarks in the browser. One tap reads the current weather for El Segundo or your location and sets the hot, cold and rain conditions for you. Copy the list into a team chat, or share a link that rebuilds it. Agents get the same kits through the thus_camp_kit tool on the PointCast MCP server. General guidance, not medical or legal advice. Check the venue's rules before you go.
