STATUS · Built and tested locally. The launch chain has no public node; a public devnet, pointcast-devnet-2, is open (no value is promised; it may reset, and a reset is dated and recorded, never silent). Mainnet anchoring waits on a funded key. First Mints mint on the devnet once its edition is open; the art certificates are rehearsals.

CHAIN · APP · THE DAILY MINT · PLAY AUCTION · PUBLIC DEVNET-2 · NO VALUE · MAY RESET, NEVER SILENTLY

One card a day, auctioned in play money.

Every UTC day the devnet opens one lot. Anyone with play ATTN can bid; the highest bid at the close wins that day’s card, minted on chain. Everything the house does, every bid, refund and mint, is a block anyone can read, so this page can replay the auction itself and tell you whether the house kept to its own rules.

devnet · no value · may reset. The Daily Mint is a play auction: bids are devnet play ATTN, which has no value and is never promised any, and the devnet may reset and take every card with it. A reset is dated and recorded, never silent: devnet-1 was reset on 2026-10-08 and its recording is still checkable at /chain/yard/devnet-1/. Nothing here is a sale and nothing leads to a real market. The house is also the sequencer: it can refuse a bid it sees, and a signature or a bid is an accountable claim by a key, not proof of who holds it.

How a lot goes

  1. A lot opens

The house auctioneer posts lot/v1 NNNN on channel DLY. That block’s timestamp opens the lot, and it closes at the next 00:00 UTC. One lot a day.

  2. Anyone bids

A bid is a transfer of play ATTN to the auctioneer. It must be at least 5% more than the leading bid, or 1 more, or the reserve of 1. A bid before it can carry up to three words for the card and an address to give the card to.

  3. Outbid money comes back

Every inflow that is not the leading bid is owed back, the same amount, within three blocks. The Worker queues the refunds right after each block.

  4. The close, and the card

A bid in the last five minutes moves the close to five minutes after it, never past two hours late. At the close the winning amount goes to the faucet and one card is minted to the winner (or to the address they gave) as that lot’s serial of the daily-mint edition. With no bids the Town Shelf gets it.

02 · CHECK THE HOUSE · YOUR BROWSER REPLAYS THE AUCTION

Did the house keep to its own rules?

Your browser reads every sealed block, folds them through the auction’s settle law, and compares the result with the devnet’s own report at GET /daily/law. A refund that is late or missing, a payment or mint that is wrong, a second mint, a lot out of order: each is a violation with a block number.

Reads every sealed block in pages of 500 (GET only), then does the sums here. Nothing is written.

Not run yet.

    What the check cannot see

    • A bid the house never let into a block. The house is also the sequencer: it can refuse a transfer and it can keep one out of every block, and the law sees only the blocks. The door says why it refuses one it can see.
    • When the house chose to seal. The close block, and so the next card’s seed, depend on it.
    • Whether the blocks are the real chain. The check reads them as the devnet serves them. Verify a block checks hashes and seals; the Block Yard replays everything.
    • Anyone’s identity. A bid is a key, and keys are free. One person can hold a hundred.

03 · BID · A KEY MADE IN YOUR BROWSER · NOTHING IS SENT UNTIL YOU PRESS SEND

Take the faucet’s 100, bid, win a card.

Three steps: make a key, take the faucet’s 100 play ATTN once, then bid. Before anything is sent the page lists, in plain words, exactly what will go to the devnet. Both messages are public and stay on this devnet until it resets. Play ATTN has no value.

    Your devnet key

A key made here is a free account on the devnet. It signs the bid and the card words in this browser, and only the signatures leave it. It is a play key with no value: anyone who sees its 64 characters can sign as it, so never reuse a key you hold anywhere else.

One key, three apps: if you tick “Keep it on this device”, the Daily Mint, the Notary and Time Capsules all load this same key, so a stamp, a bid and a capsule signed here are linked to one account that anyone can read on the devnet. The 64 characters sit in this browser’s local storage, which every script on pointcast.xyz can read. Leave it unticked and the key lives in this tab only.

No key yet. Make one: it is a new devnet account, free.

Use a key you already have

Only a devnet key. It stays in this tab unless you tick “Keep it on this device”.

Play ATTN held by this key: make a key first

Once per address; three an address and 300 in all each UTC day.

Up to three words for the card (optional)

04 · THE LAW, IN CODE

The same check from a terminal.

The auction’s rules are one pure function of the blocks, daily-law.js: the house runs it to decide what it owes, and this page and a script run it to check. The code is the chain’s own, copied unchanged.
