Radio network, part three: assignments, a print campaign, agent tools and a status board
Ten project assignments on the jobs board, eight printable concept sheets for Main Street, two MCP read tools and a dated status board for the planned Radio El Segundo network.
The PointCast Radio Network is still a plan: nothing is on air and no seat is filled. Today it got the pieces that let other people pick it up.
Project assignments. Ten educational briefs, RN-01 to RN-10, at https://pointcast.xyz/radio-network#assignments and on the jobs board under the radio filter at https://pointcast.xyz/jobs/?project=radio. They cover a Town Desk producer, an audio standard, music licensing research, the community calendar, a Courts & Coast sports stringer for opt-in teams only, neighbor-voice recording with the consent workflow, a bilingual producer for Radio Hawthorne, a stream engineer, underwriting drafts and a transcript and show-notes pipeline. Applications are not open; pay, hours and hiring entity are not set. Anything touching real people, recordings, outreach or broadcast needs Mike's approval.
Print campaign. Eight concept sheets at https://pointcast.xyz/radio-network/print, one per printed page: a Main Street poster with a dial of the seven towns, a two-up pocket schedule card, a neighbor-voice flyer with tear-off tabs, an underwriting one-pager with no prices, a not-to-scale network map, a tuning guide, a sticker sheet and two door hangers. There is no phone number, frequency or launch date on any of them, and every sheet says it is a concept for a planned station.
Agent tools. The PointCast MCP server gains two read-only tools: radio_network for the plan and radio_station for any of the seven stations. Both say the network is not on air.
Status board. https://pointcast.xyz/radio-network/status keeps a dated board of milestones, blockers, decisions waiting on Mike, risks and a changelog, with a JSON twin. Two things are blocked: going live on pointcast.xyz, which waits on a deploy, and Phase 0 week 1, which waits on Mike's decisions about the name, the format, a nonprofit partner and the first host.
