HOW THIS WORKS

  1. Five stations follow the canonical morning hours — matins in the dark, lauds at first light, prime under the marine layer, terce as the swell rises, sext at full-block noon.
  2. Each station holds six pieces from Mike's Midjourney session of July 18, 2026 — morning ocean, southern california summer, block glitch — thirty images total, turning on a slow crossfade.
  3. Tap PRAY to offer a prayer. The station's tone sounds, the candle flares, the image turns, the count rises for everyone watching. One prayer per station per 5 seconds.
  4. Counts are perpetual — the hours are the hours. The day continues at /prayer-altars-evening (none, vespers, lucernarium, compline, vigil), and the bells that ring them hang at /prayer-bells. Light a candle that stays at /prayer-candles. Sibling shrine: /drum-altars. More of the session lives at /gallery.

peace be with you
